The Jeffers Story:
Jeffers Records is a folk record label founded in the late 1960s in New England by two friends, Arthur "Artie" Morgenstern and Betty "B.J." Jones. The label was known for its eclectic roster of artists, which included both established and up-and-coming talent.

Jeffers Records released a number of critically acclaimed albums, including "The Ballad of the Green Man" by The Green Man and "The Willow Tree" by The Willow Sisters.
The label was also known for its innovative marketing and promotion campaigns. For example, Jeffers Records was the first record label to use the term "folk-rock" to describe a genre of music. The label also pioneered the use of radio to promote its artists.
In the early 1970s, Artie and Betty had a falling out over finances. Artie left the label to start his own record label, Sounds of Oaxaca, while Jones remained at Jeffers. The label continued to release albums for many years, and it is still in business today.
